CLEARWATER, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Tech Data (Nasdaq: TECD) today announced it has appointed Carla Maria De Almeida Carvalho as managing director, Brazil. In this role, De Almeida Carvalho will oversee the strategic direction and execution of all sales and marketing functions for Tech Data’s operations in Brazil, with a focus on profitable revenue generation, key initiatives to cultivate hypergrowth, new business development and enhanced vendor relationships. She will be based in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and report to Deena Piquion, vice president and general manager, Latin America and Caribbean (LAC).

De Almeida Carvalho brings more than 25 years of experience in technology sales and marketing to her new role. Prior to joining Tech Data, she served as vice president of Sales for SAP Brazil, where she was responsible for developing the SAP partner ecosystem, reviewing channel capacity and recruiting new partners. Previously, she served as business director for IBM, focusing on cloud, mobility, analytics, social and security. De Almeida Carvalho received her Master of Business Administration from Sao Paulo Business School.
