SHI Achieves Managed Service Provider Partner Status from Amazon Web Services

SOMERSET, N.J.--()--SHI International, one of North America’s top 10 largest IT solutions providers, has joined the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Managed Service Provider (MSP) Partner Program after completing a rigorous third-party validation audit. The designation confirms that SHI is skilled at cloud infrastructure and application migration, and delivers value to customers by offering proactive monitoring, automation, and management of its customers’ cloud environment.

“This recognition of our managed cloud practices as an MSP Partner validates our capabilities and the value we bring to customers,” said Kevin Clements, Chief Technology Officer of SHI. “The AWS MSP Partner Program validation process is rigorous and thorough, assuring customers that we have capable people, tools, and processes to assist them on their journey to the cloud. SHI is continuing to expand our AWS practice, helping customers take advantage of the constantly evolving and expanding footprint of AWS services through our service desk, professional architects, and MSP Partners.”

SHI’s managed services for AWS brings clients next-generation MSP ability to manage highly dynamic and automated workloads, able to scale up or down according to demand, using new technologies that give visibility into the full environment, including application performance and monitoring tools that scale instantly to adjust to changes in workloads being monitored. SHI’s optimization services help customers further understand and manage their AWS footprint, improve their alignment between their AWS consumption and billing processes, and take advantage of AWS’s flexible, scalable tools to deliver business value. Customers are now able to combine the benefits of AWS with SHI’s technical and asset-management expertise to make billing, managing, and optimizing their AWS solutions a seamless process.

“We are excited to see SHI complete the AWS MSP Partner Program audit and expand our long-running relationship,” said Terry Wise, Global Vice President of Channels and Alliances, Amazon Web Services, Inc. “SHI’s commitment to providing a rich set of managed services based on proven AWS best practices will allow our mutual customers to migrate faster to AWS and realize the cost savings, agility, and innovation of cloud computing.”

“SHI’s work with industry leaders to exceed customer goals is the cornerstone of our success,” said Thai Lee, President and CEO of SHI. “In just a few short years, our talented team has extended SHI’s experience in traditional hardware and software and applied it to the changing needs of our customers’ consumption of cloud technologies. This certification recognizes the strength of our managed services for AWS, and it opens up new ways to expand our exceptional support for our customers as they move more data and applications to the cloud.”

To be accepted into the AWS MSP Partner Program, AWS Partner Network (APN) Partners must complete an audit covering how they plan, build, integrate, operate, optimize, and provide security on AWS. APN Partners must show continued improvement, from adopting new AWS services and features to earning higher scores with each annual audit.

As an MSP Partner, SHI gains tools to help customers meet their goals, supporting security, DevOps, proactive monitoring, and streamlined management of their environment. The program will expand on SHI’s expertise, helping it evolve its AWS practice to better serve customers.
