Red Wing Shoe Company Provides Hurricane Harvey Disaster Relief Support

RED WING, Minn.--()--Red Wing Shoe Company announces it has committed product donations of $500,000 to support the recovery efforts in South Texas in the wake of Hurricane Harvey. Red Wing has partnered with Good360, a global leader in product philanthropy and purposeful giving, to provide disaster victims with needed goods during the long rebuilding and recovery process after the devastation caused by Hurricane Harvey. The donation includes work boots and coveralls suitable for the clean-up efforts, as well as socks and footwear meant for individuals whose homes and lives have been directly affected by the tragedy.

Additionally, the company’s philanthropic arm, the Red Wing Shoe Company Foundation, will contribute through its “Partners in Sharing” program. Partners in Sharing matches employee and retiree monetary donations to qualified charities.

“The Houston area has long been a very special community to Red Wing Shoe Company dating back to the 1920’s when we first established our North America operating hub to serve the broader energy market,” said Mark Urdahl, CEO of Red Wing Shoe Company. “Today Houston remains one of our most critical global hub markets where we have significant relationship ties in the community. Our thoughts are with our own employees, dealers, customers and the community at-large affected by the deadly storms.
