BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) vendors have been among the last holdouts for cloud options, yet demand for industry-specific tools is accelerating the move. In the Nucleus Research 2017 Value Matrix for ERP, verticalization has emerged as a key differentiator.
Leaders in the Value Matrix include Acumatica, Deltek, FinancialForce, Infor, Microsoft, Oracle, Rootstock, SAP, and SYSPRO.
“As ERP vendors continue their push to the cloud, delivering more tailored industry-specific capabilities has been the drive for many of the R&D dollars spent. They’re focused on delivering functional depth for cloud-based offerings, of which customers are more accustomed to seeing within on-premise environments,” said Seth Lippincott, senior analyst at Nucleus Research.
Diversifying from a more traditional, ‘one-size-fits-all’ model of cloud deployments to industry-specific solutions is improving vendor value propositions. Vendors unable to bring the flexibility customers require to their cloud offerings are falling behind, as industry best practices are no longer reserved for on-premise legacy systems.
This Value Matrix evaluates ERP market vendors based on their product usability and functionality, based on the value that customers realize from the capabilities of the product. Businesses can quickly evaluate which ERP solutions will deliver the most value for them based on usability and functionality needs.
