In its seventh year, EdmodoCon equips and inspires teachers to collaborate with other teachers and harness the power of edtech in their classrooms.

Seventeen educators and thought leaders share their experiences for increasing student participation, and forming collaborative PD networks. Presenters include Sal Khan, CEO of Khan Academy speaking about a reimagined education, Richard Culatta, CEO of ISTE discussing how technology and education best complement each other, and educators from around the world sharing best practices for project based learning, building a learning network, and more.
Edmodo Reaches 80 Million Learners and Launches New Tools for Back to School
Edmodo is announcing 80 million registrations, and a new lineup to their rich communications platform. New offerings include:
- A new Assignment Center, deeply integrated with Microsoft’s Office Online and G-Suite for Education, designed to save time and increase feedback.
- A new messaging platform for direct communications between teachers, students, and parents.
- A new offering for parents to join and participate in their student’s class.
Edmodo is also announcing new collaboration and PD tools, including a new social stream for teachers to connect with other teachers and share resources. Edmodo is extending its range of online PD courses, created in partnership with New York Partners for Technology Innovation and the University of Virginia WISE. 700 teachers have taken over fifty courses that leverage live instruction, high-quality videos and peer-based learning. Popular courses include Tech Tools for ELL, Full STEAM Ahead, and Digital Citizenship. New courses are available each month.
