Pittsburgh Favorites Return for “Live on the River” Performances

PITTSBURGH--()--The summer’s best tunes can be found right on the shores of the Ohio River. “Live on the River,” Rivers Casino’s free summer concert series is back this summer at the casino’s outdoor amphitheater. Guests can catch their favorite Pittsburgh bands and other popular groups live all summer long, while sipping on cool refreshments. The concert lineup kicks off Saturday, May 27 with a special performance by Velveeta.

This year’s lineup also includes:

  • June 3: Chuck Blasko and The Vogues
  • June 9: Saddle Up
  • July 2: Joe Grushecky and The Houserockers with Billy Price
  • July 3: Beatlemania Magic
  • July 4: No Bad JuJu with special guest Chris Jameson
  • July 7: Satisfaction (Rolling Stones tribute)
  • July 21: Rockin’ the Paradise (Styx tribute)
  • July 22: Shining Star and Get Ready (Earth, Wind & Fire and Temptations tribute)
  • July 28: Chris Higbee with The Hobbs Sisters opening
  • August 11: Head Games (Foreigner, Journey, Bon Jovi and Aerosmith tribute)

“This summertime tradition is one of our favorites; there’s no better way to spend a summer night than enjoying a live performance while sitting along the Ohio River,” said Craig Clark, general manager of Rivers Casino. “Our amphitheater provides the ideal waterfront backdrop for the ‘Live on the River’ series.”

Guests will be able to purchase hot-off-the-grill favorites including hot dogs, hamburgers and grilled kielbasa, along with a variety of drinks to enjoy while listening to the live music. Access to the parking garage and casino is limited to guests ages 21 and up.
