U.S. Credit Czar and SubscriberWise Founder David Howe Alerts FL AG Pam Bondi of National Car Rental Damage Recovery Scam at Fort Myers International Airport

Moreover, the damage is outside of the companies internal indicator according to recent proof obtained by Howe from a National manager. (Photo: Business Wire)

FORT MYERS, Fla.--()--SubscriberWise, the nation's largest issuing consumer reporting agency for the communications industry and the leading protector of children victimized by identity theft nationwide, announced today that company founder and credit czar David Howe has alerted Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi of a predatory scheme involving fraudulent damage recovery claims by National Car Rental company (https://www.nationalcar.com/) at the Fort Myers International Airport.

“Today I have personally reached out to Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi concerning a predatory, and potentially criminal, damage recovery scam that is perpetrated on innocent victims returning rentals to Fort Myers International Airport,” said David Howe, SubscriberWise founder. “The urgency to alert the chief lawmaker follows substantial and compelling evidence that I obtained in the past few days which demonstrates profound predatory behavior by the car rental agency. It also follows an investigation earlier this year by Wink News involving a similar circumstance with another SW FL couple: http://www.winknews.com/2016/02/29/sanibel-couple-charged-for-under-car-damages-to-rental/

Watch a manager for National Car Rental, Fort Lauderdale International Airport, dismiss the same minor damage when asked if a renter would be expected to report prior to exiting the agency: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Mhzk3FZDak (note that the car was rented at Miami International Airport where vehicles are located in a dark garage and this particular vehicle contained a black grill which made it nearly impossible to see the very minor grill “dent”).

“For the record, Luis, the National Car Rental manager at Fort Lauderdale airport was very helpful,” acknowledged Howe. “In fact, the information he offered - including a visit to the garage and a demonstration of the agency’s standard protocol for damage evaluation - really opened my eyes to the scheme that’s perpetrated at Fort Myers. It certainly motivated my decision to contact AG Bondi.

“I also had the same demonstration at Miami International Airport and the event is recorded,” Howe stated.

“In addition to my contact with the Attorney General, I’m filing a civil suit against National for money damages related to time and travel expenses associated with this bogus claim.

“Stay tuned,” concluded Howe. “I have audio recordings, photos, videos, and more to substantiate the facts for AG Bondi and the civil justice system. With the help of news agencies and FL lawmakers, I hope to stop this predatory scheme in its tracks before another individual is victimized.”
