BOISE, Idaho--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Idaho Emergency Physicians (IEP) have voted unanimously to partner with CEP America, the leading provider of multi-specialty clinical staffing solutions. The partnership represents the first entry for CEP America into Idaho (Boise and Nampa), and also continues the company’s growing partnerships with independent physician groups.
The agreement went into effect on August 1, when all 40 of the current Emergency Department (ED) physicians with IEP became full partners with CEP America. IEP currently provides emergency department staffing for Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Centers in Boise and Nampa, as well as two freestanding emergency departments (FSED) for Saint Alphonsus Eagle Health Plaza and the Nampa Health Plaza. All four facilities are part of Trinity Health, one of the largest multi-institutional Catholic healthcare delivery systems in the nation.
IEP was founded in 1974 as a democratic, physician-owned company that provides patient-centered emergency care for patients in southwestern Idaho. It is the largest single-specialty medical group practice in Idaho. The physicians of IEP provide care for over 100,000 patients in the community each year.
CEP America partners with hospitals and healthcare facilities to staff and manage clinical departments across the acute care continuum, including anesthesia, urgent, emergency, inpatient and post-acute care settings. The company’s democratic partnership model, where all physicians are owners and partners, has empowered physicians to enhance transitions of care for patients across patient populations and geographic regions.

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center is the first hospital established in Boise and is a 381-bed facility with a Level 2 Trauma Center, Level I STEMI Center and Level II Stroke Center. It also operates the FSED at Saint Alphonsus Eagle Health Plaza. Saint Alphonsus Medical Center in Nampa is a 152-bed acute care hospital, operating the hospital’s ED and a FSED at Saint Alphonsus Nampa Health Plaza.
