LOUISVILLE, Ky.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Thomson Reuters has named two Hilliard Lyons equity research analysts as some the best in the world. The Thomson Reuters Analyst Awards (formerly the StarMine Awards) recognize the world’s top individual sell-side analysts and sell-side firms.
Spencer Joyce and David Burks were both named to this prestigious list for 2016. Joyce was recognized with three awards this year – as the top stock picker for Gas Utilities, the top earnings estimator for Water Utilities, and the number three earnings estimator for Gas Utilities. He’s been named to the Thomson Reuters list for the last four years in a row.
Burks was honored as the top stock picker for Electric Utilities. He’s been named to this list five different times. He has also been recognized four times by the Wall Street Journal with its “Best on the Street” award.

The Thomson Reuters Analyst Awards measure the performance of sell-side analysts based on both the returns of their buy/sell recommendation relative to industry benchmarks and the accuracy of their earnings estimates in 16 global regions.
