TIAA-CREF Trust Company, FSB Appoints New Members to Its Board of Directors

ST. LOUIS & NEW YORK--()--TIAA-CREF Trust Company, FSB, a provider of banking, lending and fiduciary products, today announced the appointment of three new, highly qualified members to its board of directors.

The new appointments, effective today, include:

  • Kathie Andrade, CEO of Retail Financial Services at TIAA, as board chair
  • Andrew Armishaw, CEO at Armishaw Consulting LLC
  • Rohan Williamson, professor of finance and Bolton Sullivan/Thomas A. Dean Chair in International Business at the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University

They bring diverse experience and deep expertise in financial services that will be invaluable as we continue to grow the range of banking services we offer to customers,” said Rick Calero, president and CEO, TIAA-CREF Trust Company, FSB.

These appointments come after three current board members retire or take on new roles.

As CEO of Retail Financial Services at TIAA, Andrade leads the business unit dedicated to individual customers, helping them manage their finances and achieve a lifetime of financial well-being. Her organization offers customized financial advice and a broad set of savings and investment solutions, including education savings, life insurance and banking services. She replaces former board chair Doug Chittenden, who currently serves as president of Institutional Retirement at TIAA.

Armishaw has been actively involved in financial services management for more than 27 years. Prior to establishing Armishaw Consulting, he held many roles at HSBC Holdings Group, where he specialized in the technology and services sectors during a nearly decade-long tenure. Previously, he held positions at E-Loan TD, First Direct TD, Baring Securities and Andersen Consulting (now known as Accenture). Armishaw received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in engineering, economics and management from the University of Oxford.

Williamson has more than 19 years of experience teaching business and finance and has research expertise in risk management, corporate governance and corporate liquidity. Before joining the faculty at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business, he held positions as a financial analyst for the Chrysler Corporation and was an aircraft research engineer at the Lockheed Martin Corporation. He received a Bachelor of Science in biomedical engineering at the University of Dayton, a master’s degree in business administration from Clark Atlanta University, and a Master of Arts and a Ph.D. in business administration from The Ohio State University.
