LOS ANGELES--()--Crystal Cruises is doubling up on its celebrated enrichment series, “Experiences of Discovery,” with two distinct themes set for two consecutive voyages for the first time ever. The cruises, both aboard Crystal Serenity, will feature distinguished guest experts to enlighten guests in some of the line’s most popular themes: Jazz; Wine & Food Festival – Microbrews; Mind, Body & Spirit; and Golf.

“The ‘Experiences of Discovery’ focus cruises have always been popular among travelers who don’t want to limit their travel adventures to shore-side experiences,” says Crystal’s president and CEO, Edie Rodriguez. “Our theme programming and corresponding experts allow guests to pursue a new passion, or expand their knowledge of an existing one, while also expanding their horizons through travel.”

The 14-day warm-weather itineraries – both beginning with overnight stays in New Orleans – this November and December, include:

November 22, Round-trip New Orleans – Calling in Playa Del Carmen and Cozumel, Mexico; Grand Cayman; Ocho Rios, Jamaica; San Juan, Puerto Rico; St. Barts, French West Indies; St. Kitts, West Indies; and Key West, Florida, the cruise takes advantage of the vibrant region and flair for celebrations.

  • Jazz – Presented by Jazzdagen Tours, nearly a dozen talented musicians will take to the stages in the posh lounges and nightclubs, featuring multiple shows daily filled with soulful bass riffs and saxophone solos, sultry vocals and plenty of rhythm.
  • Microbrews – A special presentation of the popular Wine & Food Festival will concentrate on the art of craft beers and microbrews. Stephen Beaumont, prolific columnist and one of the world’s top authorities on all things beer, will lead tasting sessions, highlighting the nuances of production, flavor and various styles of the brews.

December 6, New Orleans to Miami – Calling in Grand Cayman; Ocho Rios, Jamaica; Curaçao/Willemstad; Martinique/Fort-de-France and St. Barts, French West Indies; Guadeloupe/Pinte-a-Pitre, West Indies; and Turks & Caicos/Grand Turk, the itinerary lends itself perfectly to enrichment focused on health and wellness.

  • Mind, Body & Spirit – Author and wellness expert Dr. Barbara Udell will share her extensive insights into aging healthfully, stress management and general wellness during interactive presentations. Guests can take advantage of the ship’s many fitness resources between the lectures, including the 360-degree Promenade Deck, Walk on Water® weighted Walkvests, and fully equipped Fitness Center offering group classes and personal training from Crystal Fitness Directors.
  • Golf – PGA pro John Clark will host group classes in technique and adjustments to improve the games of novice and experienced golfers alike. Individual instruction is also available.

Through June 30, “Book Now” value fares for the Experiences of Discovery cruises start at $4,925 and $3,800 per person, respectively.
