ERI Founder John Shegerian Featured as Speaker at Raytheon’s Biannual EHSS Forum

LOUISVILLE, Ky.--()--John Shegerian, Chairman, CEO and co-founder of Electronic Recyclers International (ERI), the nation’s leading recycler of electronic waste and the world's largest cybersecurity-focused hardware destruction company, was a featured plenary speaker yesterday at Raytheon’s biannual corporate EHHS (environmental, health, safety and sustainability) Forum.

Raytheon, largely considered a leading green and sustainability-focused business, had recently featured information about ERI in its annual “Raytheon Corporate Responsibility Report,” and invited Shegerian to speak about the importance of responsibly recycling electronics – for environmental, cyber security and human rights reasons – at the forum, held at the Hyatt Regency in Louisville.

In his presentation, Shegerian detailed ERI’s industry leading efforts to protect digital security while recycling all electronics in an environmentally responsible manner – and doing it here in the US.

“We are excited John agreed to be a plenary speaker at our EHSS Forum this year,” said Frank A. Marino, Senior Manager of Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability for Raytheon. “Raytheon is committed to 100 percent eco-responsible e-waste management. Working with ERI we are able to responsibly process e-waste of all types - IT and non-IT - from all locations.”

“It is an absolute honor and privilege to share insights and partner with a sustainability-minded and socially responsible organization such as Raytheon,” said John Shegerian, ERI’s Chairman and CEO. “We’re particularly proud to continue as the electronic waste processing supplier for Raytheon, helping the company streamline its e-waste management to be a leader in yet another category. We look forward to supporting Raytheon’s commitment to information security and environmental protection for many years to come.”

The Forum was attended by approximately 175 of Raytheon’s EHSS professionals from around the country, as well as visiting employees from Raytheon’s international operations.
