NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Brightfield Strategies, an independent consultancy and data services provider specializing in workforce strategies and analytics, announced today that it has received a strategic investment from industry pioneer, Gary Nelson, founder of Nelson Staffing, Workforce Logic and iWorkGlobal.
The investment, made through a private placement, will be used to accelerate the rollout of Brightfield’s data aggregation and analytics platform, the Talent Data Exchange (TDX). Mr. Nelson and his wife Marcia have a passion for investing in promising companies with significant potential for growth. Brightfield’s TDX product has integrated proprietary, AI-based, natural language processing (NLP) technology that extracts structured data from the text of job descriptions, enabling higher precision benchmarking (e.g. market-level assessments of hourly rates, time-to-fill, and recruiter productivity).
“I’m impressed with Brightfield’s thought leadership and the brain trust behind the development of an innovative solution that has already proven to be groundbreaking,” said Nelson, adding, “TDX is a game changer destined to solve the long standing data and information gap, and I couldn’t be more pleased to invest in its continued growth.”
Brightfield Co-founder and President, Jason Ezratty, remarked, “Gary Nelson is the perfect growth partner for us and we are proud to have earned his trust and enthusiasm. Gary is unintimidated by big, disruptive ideas because he has an impressive track record of turning them into success stories. This investment reinforces our commitment to remaining independent, enabling us to serve the industry neutrally and collaboratively.”
The growth capital financing comes at a critical moment, as Brightfield is preparing to celebrate its 10-year anniversary in June of this year.
