BELLEVUE, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Voip-Pal.com Inc. (“Voip-Pal”, “Company”) (OTC Pink: VPLM) announced the Company has filed a Form 10 Registration Statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The registration becomes automatically effective sixty days after the filing. Once effective, the Company will become subject to the reporting requirements of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934.
“Beginning this process to become fully reporting is an important step for our company,” stated, Voip-Pal CEO, Emil Malak. “Becoming fully reporting broadens the possibilities for larger analyst coverage and institutional investors. It also provides a greater level of transparency to our current and future shareholders and the general public.”
Voip-Pal also provided an update on it current patent infringement lawsuits. The Company confirmed they have been in contact with the defendants and are in discussions with each in hopes of reaching an amicable resolution. Voip-Pal has 90 days from the filing date of each lawsuit to serve legal process to the defendants.
Mr. Malak, commented, “We remain actively engaged in our efforts to reach an amicable resolution to our patent infringement lawsuits. Although we are fully prepared to go the distance in defending the integrity of our proprietary patent portfolio, we believe each side will benefit greatly from a settlement which would avoid a potentially long and cumbersome legal battle.” Mr. Malak commented further, “Our objective to monetize the patents remains our top priority. Besides the defendants, we have also been in discussions with other interested parties regarding our patents.”
Voip-Pal also announced the issuance of two of its patents in the country of Indonesia. Patent application No. W00 2009 01414, Intercepting Voice Over IP Communications and Other Data Communications (Lawful Intercept) and patent application No. W00 2009 01165, Producing Routing Messages for Voice Over IP Communications (Routing, Billing and Rating) were recently granted by the Directorate General of Intellectual Property Rights (DGIP) of Indonesia. The nation of Indonesia has one of the most thriving and fast growing mobile markets in the world.
