Curalate Secures $27.5 Million in New Funding to Re-Wire How Brands and Consumers Connect

800 Brands Worldwide Use Curalate to Connect Visual Content to Commerce

PHILADELPHIA--()--Curalate, provider of the world’s only full-funnel visual commerce solution, has secured $27.5 million in Series C financing, bringing its total funding to $40 million. The round was led by NEA, lead investor in the company’s Series Seed, A, and B rounds, with participation from existing investors First Round Capital and MentorTech Ventures.

The Curalate Visual Commerce Platform enables marketers to use visual content to influence the customer journey from awareness to conversion across a vast array of consumer touchpoints. The result for brands is significantly increased product discovery, brand engagement, website traffic, and conversions. Curalate currently serves billions of visual brand engagements to over 100 million consumers monthly.

“Curalate is transforming commerce,” said Harry Weller, General Partner, NEA. “Curalate is one of those rare companies with both the disruptive vision to rewire the consumer experience across the $1.6 trillion dollar global ecommerce market and the ability to execute with innovative solutions that accelerate customer adoption.”

Curalate is the only visual commerce platform to be a part of the Pinterest Marketing Developer Partner Program, Instagram Partner Program, and Tumblr A-List Partner Program. The company has also established partnerships with numerous technology and commerce leaders including eBay Enterprise, Demandware, Tradedoubler, and Movable Ink to accelerate global adoption of visual commerce.

“As the web becomes dominated by visual content, the way consumers discover brands and products is changing,” said Apu Gupta, CEO of Curalate. “Curalate has built the leading platform for capturing today’s visual consumer, and this funding gives us the fuel to create tomorrow’s innovative marketing solutions.”

“Consumers now communicate in images, and working with Curalate has enabled us to speak their language,” said Wanda Gierhart, CMO, Neiman Marcus Group. “Today we are engaging customers with visual content at every touchpoint – Instagram, Pinterest, our blog, our website and more. As a result of working with Curalate, we are seeing not only increased engagement, but also a simpler, more intuitive path to purchase.”
