ALEXANDRIA, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) recently received approval from the FAA for a Section 333 waiver and broad area Certificate of Waiver Or Authorization (COA), permitting commercial flight opportunities using the company owned C-ASTRAL Bramor rTK. The approval from the FAA is good for operations up to 200 feet over land, and throughout the U.S. where drones are allowed within the National Airspace System (NAS).
The MTSI Bramor is optimized for highly accurate mapping and surveying, with an endurance of up to two-and-a-half hours and the ability to cover thousands of acres in one flight. The Bramor rTK currently carries one of two payloads: a traditional digital RGB camera for mapping; and a modified digital camera intended to perform agricultural assessments. The data collected by both payloads can be used to create geo-referenced ortho-mosaic maps, point clouds, digital surface models (DEMs), Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) products, and custom data analytics.
