NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Beacon, the premier all-you-can-fly membership for frequent fliers in the Northeast, today launches its service between New York and Boston. Beacon is the first subscription service bringing the convenience, comfort and innovation of all-you-can-fly private air travel to the East Coast.
“We are thrilled to be launching our service today,” said Wade Eyerly, co-founder and CEO of Beacon. “The route between Boston and New York is among the most traveled in the U.S., yet there’s no way to get between the two cities in under two hours. Today, we are proud to be changing that and serving this unmet need for business travelers on the East Coast.”
Eyerly is the founder and former CEO of Surf Air, where he first pioneered the all-you-can-fly, subscription air service concept. Now, along with two of his Surf Air co-founders, Cory Cozzens and Reed Farnsworth, and with new co-founder Ryan Morley, he created Beacon.
“We have been impressed with Beacon’s founding team and are thrilled to see them bringing this much needed service to the East Coast,” said Neil Chheda, of Romulus Capital. “Traveling between Boston and New York, two of the biggest East Coast cities, needs to get better. It’s exciting to see this smart and necessary service take off for commuters.”
For $2,000 a month, Beacon offers its legion of members efficient travel between New York’s Westchester Airport and Boston’s Logan Airport through 18 regularly scheduled flights a day. Members receive unlimited access to flights with reservations, changes and cancellations made as little as 20 minutes before departure at no additional cost. Companies who are used to using the shuttle out of LaGuardia are quickly turning to Beacon to better meet their needs.
