Redbooth Launches Desktop Client Applications for Windows®, Mac OS® and Linux® in Beta

Native persistent presence ensures teams can get more work done on the most current version of Redbooth’s unified collaboration platform, while adhering to company IT policies and eliminating outdated browser issues

REDWOOD CITY, Calif.--()--Redbooth, the all-in-one workstream collaboration and communications platform that makes teams more productive and accountable, today announced the Beta launch of the company’s new desktop client applications for the Windows, Mac OS and Linux operating systems. The availability of a persistent desktop presence follows last month’s announcement of Redbooth’s adding click-to-call voice connections and integrations with Microsoft SharePoint and OneDrive to make it the industry’s first seamless integration of real-time enterprise messaging, file sharing, powerful search, in-stream task management, high-definition video conferencing and quality voice, centralized into an intuitive virtual workspace.

“Redbooth has become so central to my team’s productivity that I have a 60-inch monitor in my office permanently locked to the Redbooth dashboard that gives me a clear view of our multiple multi-million dollar projects,” said Benjamin Diamond, director of planning, engineering and improvements for Centers Health Care’s more than 25 facilities across New York and New Jersey. “Being able to have persistent access to Redbooth now saves us even more time as we can access workspaces immediately upon startup and we don’t have to worry about issues with older browsers.”

Key feature benefits of Redbooth’s desktop client application include:

  • As a native application, Redbooth will start upon boot-up and remain running even while computer is in sleep or hibernation mode
  • Redbooth’s desktop client allows customers to be more productive by moving work out of web browsers and work in full-screen mode, away from distractions like non-work related content and advertisements
  • Persistent presence allows for immediate notifications to bring users who frequently switch between multiple applications back into the workstream, such as the extensive use of Illustrator and Photoshop in creative industries
  • Automatically updates with the latest version of Redbooth to free up IT management resources
  • Allows for a responsive, real-time application experience that may not be supported by older browser versions mandated by many corporate IT policies

“Redbooth desktop is in direct response to requests from our customers to help them become even more productive in their pursuit of working smarter,” said Redbooth CEO, Dan Schoenbaum. “We anticipate a brief Beta period and look forward to rolling out Redbooth desktop very soon to all current and new customers who are using Redbooth to fundamentally transform the way they work for the better.”
