DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Susan G. Komen, the world’s leading breast cancer organization, has welcomed North Texas fundraising leader Christina Alford as Vice President, Development.

Alford will lead Komen’s Development, Major Gifts, CRM, Direct Marketing and Donor Services teams, reporting to Salerno.
She brings to Komen more than 14 years of fundraising experience and work in the nonprofit sector. Alford served as Executive Vice President of External Affairs for National 4-H Council from 2011-2013, where she achieved the highest revenue results in the organization’s history ($44.5 million) and led various other fundraising efforts.
Prior to 4-H, Alford served with the Boys and Girls Clubs, starting in 2003 as the President & Chief Executive Officer of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Collin County and moving steadily upward in the organization to become Vice President of Development of the Southwest Region in 2008, and National Vice President, Corporate Partnerships, in 2011.
In January 2015, Alford became President and Chief Development Strategist of CA & Associates of Frisco, whose clients include the Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation, Rachel’s Challenge and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Arlington, TX.
Alford received her B.A. and Masters in Corporate Communications from Baylor University.
