Comcast Spotlight Announces New Senior Leadership Positions

NEW YORK--()--Comcast Spotlight, the advertising sales division of Comcast Cable, announced today that it has named Justin Evans as vice president, principal data and research strategist.

“Justin’s proven capability to guide strategic innovation in data and research will further Comcast Spotlight’s position as a leader in the advertising space,” said Hank Oster, Comcast Spotlight’s chief operating officer and senior vice president. “With Justin’s expertise, we will continue to build transformative data-driven advertising offerings, and scale them across our ecosystem.”

In this newly created role, Evans will oversee long-term strategy for the positioning and market entry of Comcast Spotlight’s new products and advertising solutions. Using his extensive experience in monetizing data in the marketing and media domains, Evans’ chief focus will be enhancing Comcast Spotlight’s world-class analytics to provide the company’s partners, prospects and existing customers with a full array of sophisticated, accurate, reliable and data-driven advertising solutions across multiple distribution platforms. Evans will lead a team responsible for executing this strategy and strengthening Comcast Spotlight’s competitive advantage.

“Comcast Spotlight is in a unique and compelling position—with customers that are deeply engaged in a data-driven approach to advertising, and with a breadth of products that cut across TV, digital and the emerging consumer media experience,” said Evans. “I’m honored to join this team and advance the company’s strategic vision at such a dynamic, important time in the advertising and technology industries.”

Evans joins Comcast Spotlight from Collective, Inc., a digital advertising company specializing in multi-screen advertising for national brands and traditional media companies. During his tenure at Collective, he served as executive vice president of the enterprise business unit, chief strategy officer and senior vice president of emerging media. Evans’ track record of identifying market opportunities and creating innovative solutions will help Comcast Spotlight successfully bring new products to market.

Prior to joining Collective, Inc., Evans served as senior vice president, advertising solutions for Nielsen and senior vice president, marketing for Nielsen Claritas, and managed business development for The New York Times’ marketing and advertising group. Evans earned his bachelor’s degree from Columbia University and a master’s degree in business administration from New York University.

Comcast Spotlight also announced the appointment of Sarah Nastasi to vice president of sales research and data integration. Nastasi joins Evans’ team to shepherd standards and practices for media research. With more than 15 years of experience at Comcast Spotlight, Nastasi most recently directed strategy, market and sales research for the company’s Central division.
