Seth Travis, General Counsel for Teza Technologies Joins Friends of After-School All-Stars Chicago

Regional group advises and assists local ASAS leaders in carrying out the organization’s mission, fundraising and increasing visibility in the community

CHICAGO--()--After-School All-Stars (ASAS) today announced Seth Travis, general counsel of Teza Technologies, has joined the Friends of ASAS Chicago group. Teza has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to ASAS, and Teza’s CEO and founder, Misha Malyshev, was named to ASAS’ national board of directors last year.

Malyshev said, “As a Chicago-based firm, we are pleased to further extend our support locally to ASAS. Seth’s Chicago leadership role is part of our greater commitment to this national organization providing critical services to at-risk teens around the country.”

Travis has served as general counsel for Teza Technologies since joining the firm in 2011. He has nearly 20 years of legal experience.

Along with fellow Friends of ASAS Chicago, Travis will advise and assist the leadership of ASAS in carrying out its mission in the area, with special emphasis on fundraising and increasing the organization’s visibility in the community.

Friends of the group are typically connected to local funders and/or the corporate community, and help to secure new donations and forge relationships. They also track business and community concerns that can be addressed by the ASAS mission, objectives, and programs and provide support to the local ASAS staff accordingly. Additionally, they are encouraged to attend special events involving ASAS whenever possible, such as Chicago Youth Service Day in April.

“ASAS is thrilled to have Seth as a founding member of Friends of ASAS Chicago. His dedication to the city will advance our work and increase opportunities for Chicago youth,” said Sean Segal, vice president of chapter support for ASAS Chicago.
