BIRMINGHAM, Ala. & HOUSTON--()--Cadence Bank today announced enhancements to its digital platforms, including a more intuitive online and mobile banking platform and an improved website experience.

Fluent by Cadence, first introduced in October 2013, is Cadence Bank’s signature online and mobile banking platform available at no fee for personal and small business clients. The new enhancements make it easier for the bank’s clients to access their accounts online by integrating online banking, bill pay, mobile and text banking into the Fluent platform.

Additionally, the Fluent by Cadence app for mobile phone and tablet has been updated and now goes by a new name - Cadence Bank Mobile. The new Cadence Bank Mobile app serves as a customer’s gateway to Fluent and unites what used to be two apps.

“The Fluent update is our latest investment in innovation to help our clients gain more control over their money,” noted Debbie Innes, retail banking and treasury management executive. “Now more than ever, clients want time-savings, simplicity, and anywhere, anytime access to their accounts. We believe the new Fluent rivals what is currently available in the marketplace, and helps distinguish us as a leading regional banking franchise.”

The update activates several new features that enable Fluent users to do more with their money online, including:

  • Check balances and transactions
  • Pay bills
  • Pay a person directly — such as paying a friend the amount owed for a Dutch-treat lunch
  • Transfer funds between Cadence accounts
  • Move money to/from accounts at other banks
  • Make a FlashDeposit with an iPhone® or Android™ mobile phone
  • View other bank accounts in addition to Cadence accounts with TotalMoney
  • View Cadence Bank eStatements

Through the now integrated TotalMoney tool, Fluent users can set and track monthly budgets and view spending by category, such as groceries, restaurants or gas. Cadence TotalMoney automatically categorizes and organizes spending from various financial accounts using eye-catching Bubble Budgets, and sends alerts when attention is needed. This comprehensive view provides clients with a clear financial picture on a yearly, monthly, weekly or even daily basis.

“Fluent is one-stop approach to controlling your money,” said Rick Claypoole, director of retail marketing and product development. “We have incorporated all of our digital products into the Fluent environment with this update, and made them accessible via iOS™, Android™, and any other smartphone or tablet. In doing this, we have created a single place where customers can conduct their transactions and seamlessly interact with their money.”

At the same time, Cadence introduced a newly designed website, which is more intuitive and easier to navigate. With the average visitor spending just 10 to 20 seconds on a webpage, it is essential to provide clear value to clients and prospects visiting cadencebank.com.

“People come to our website looking for information,” said Jennifer Texada, web and digital media manager, who spearheaded the project. “The new site design makes it easy for them to find what they are looking for and gives them the resources they need to help answer questions, either by connecting directly with one of our bankers or through content focused on their specific needs and interests.”

Adopting a more modern look with greater visual appeal, the new cadencebank.com also features responsive design, now making the site fully accessible and simpler to use on mobile devices and tablets.

Enrollment and login processes also have been streamlined. Cadence’s personal and small business banking clients now can access their accounts through a single login on the bank’s website home page. Similarly, customers may only enroll in Fluent to access all of Cadence’s online and mobile banking services, eliminating the need to enroll in multiple applications.

“We are intensely focused on attending to the needs of our clients,” explained Sarah Peterson, Cadence’s chief marketing officer. “Whether you’re a consumer meeting us online for the first time or a long-standing customer who wishes to engage more deeply with your accounts, we want to make it easy for you. Time is precious, we understand that, and by providing relevant technology that is simple to use, we can help our clients maximize their use of that priceless commodity.”
