Richard Greco, Jr. Announces the Richard and Barbara Naclerio Classical Scholars Program at The Montfort Academy

MT. VERNON, N.Y--()--The Montfort Academy’s chairman of the board Richard Greco, Jr. today announced the establishment of the Richard and Barbara Naclerio Classical Scholars Program at The Montfort Academy. Named after successful entrepreneur Richard Naclerio of Pelham Manor, NY and his wife Barbara, the Classical Scholars Program at The Montfort Academy is being created to support and facilitate the work of emerging academic leaders from among The Montfort Academy’s high school faculty who have distinguished themselves in their abilities to teach their subject matter within the interdisciplinary context required of classical Catholic education, their abilities to enliven their classrooms through the use of the Socratic method, and their leadership and dedication to faculty moderation of extracurricular activities.

Richard Greco said, “We are deeply moved that Mr. and Mrs. Naclerio have chosen The Montfort Academy as a recipient of their generosity. They are models of Christian virtue, both professionally and personally. Their gift will help The Montfort Academy deliver its award-winning classical, Catholic education more perfectly.”

About Richard and Barbara Naclerio

Richard Naclerio is a successful developer, investor and entrepreneur. He was CEO and president of Naclerio Contracting Corporation, which served the Greater New York region and provided infrastructure for municipalities. Mr. Naclerio later started RAN Consulting Corporation, a mortgage brokerage firm, and led the company as CEO and president.
