Innosight Appoints Patrick Viguerie President

BOSTON--()--The strategy and innovation consulting firm Innosight announced today that S. Patrick Viguerie has joined the company in the new role of President. In this position, Viguerie will help Innosight expand its range of services for helping global enterprises achieve sustainable growth and manage strategic transformation.

Viguerie joins Innosight after a 27-year career at McKinsey & Company, most recently as a Director, and where he was a long-standing leader of its strategy practice. Based in the Atlanta office, he led McKinsey’s strategy practice in the Americas for five years, and most recently created and led the firm’s Strategy and Trend Analysis Center globally.

As a prolific writer on growth and strategy, Viguerie will build on Innosight’s tradition of thought leadership. He is co-author of The Granularity of Growth, which focuses on how large companies can sustain growth and performance. He has also co-authored a number of articles in the Harvard Business Review, including “Is Your Growth Strategy Flying Blind?” “Strategy Under Uncertainty,” “Deals Without Delusions,” and “The Faster They Fall.”

Viguerie strengthens Innosight’s senior leadership team. Innosight cofounder and Harvard Business School Professor Clayton Christensen notes, “Welcoming Patrick to Innosight marks a milestone in the 15-year history of the firm, as his rich experience and thought leadership will help us grow and take on greater challenges.”

“We are delighted to welcome one of the world’s best business strategists to Innosight,” says Scott Anthony, Managing Partner. “Adding Patrick to our leadership team is a sign of our commitment to helping our clients reach greater levels of growth and performance.”

In his career with McKinsey, he served clients across a range of industries, including telecommunications and technology, healthcare, and agriculture, in addition to the public sector.

Viguerie’s deep expertise and wide range of experience will help Innosight achieve its own next phase of growth and serve an expanding client base that includes global corporations in industries such as health care, pharmaceuticals, financial services, retail, telecommunications, and consumer goods.

“The business environment continues to grow in complexity,” says Viguerie. “Organizations need new capabilities to navigate change and develop winning growth strategies. I’m looking forward to serving along with my colleagues at Innosight to help our clients build the strategies and capabilities they need to thrive in the future.”

Patrick is a frequent speaker on global forces, growth and strategy topics. He holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and an A.B. in Computer Science from Dartmouth College, magna cum laude, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
