MCLEAN, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--DynCorp International (DI) today announced that it has been recognized by the Army Aviation Association of America (AAAA) with the Materiel Readiness Award for a Contribution by a Major Contractor. The award is presented to the major defense contractor that has made an outstanding contribution to the materiel readiness and logistic support of U.S. Army Aviation.

DI is the principal service provider for Army Field Maintenance Division (AFMD) on the Aviation Field Maintenance (AFM) contract vehicles which support approximately 75% of the U.S. Army’s helicopter fleet operating globally. DI was recently recognized with an Aviation Field Maintenance Directorate (AFMD) award during the Army Aviation Association of America (AAAA) Tennessee Valley Chapter (TVC) Joseph P. Cribbins Symposium in February 2014.
The award will be presented at a luncheon during the Joseph P. Cribbins Aviation Product Symposium on November 6, 2014, in Huntsville, Ala.
AAAA was formed in early 1957 by a small group of senior aviation officers in the active Army, the Reserve Forces of the U.S. Army and industry. Their mission is to support the United States Army Aviation soldier and family.
