The RoomVision patient solution features an innovative privacy masking technology, virtual boundary lines with alerts, a private secure network and a series of “alarm fatigue” tools to minimize false alarms. These tools include a unique Adaptive Learning technology that automatically filters persistent motions that may occur in the patient’s room. In addition, a sensitivity setting allows for adjustments that can reduce or expand motion detection parameters. There is also a motion duration setting (number of seconds) that can be adjusted so an alarm will not trigger unless the motion occurs for that time period.
If an alert is triggered, the staff can talk to the patient through an intercom system and prevent a potential fall with at-risk patients. Alerts can also be forwarded to the staff’s communication devices.
