THORNTON, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Ascent Solar Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:ASTI), a developer and manufacturer of state-of-the-art, flexible thin-film photovoltaic modules integrated into the company's EnerPlex™ series of consumer products; announced today the company will be releasing a number of new products at Outdoor Retailer Show in Salt Lake City August 6-9th; the Commandr line of foldable high wattage solar panel chargers and the Generatr line of large format portable batteries; as well as a number of other additions to current product lines.
The Commandr foldable solar chargers, built upon Ascent’s award-winning “solar-on-plastic” flexible and lightweight CIGS technology, are approximately half the weight of other comparable systems in the market with the same power output, while also remaining far more rugged and durable than traditional glass-backed solar systems.
The Generatr series of large format portable batteries, ranging in capacity between 50 and 1200 watt hours, utilize leading edge modular lithium polymer battery technology making the Generatr systems less than half the weight of batteries utilizing outdated technology, such as lead-acid, while also realizing a significant decrease in size. Capable of charging devices from the size of cell phones to appliances as large as refrigerators, the Generatr series represents a true leap forward.
