MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Caribou Coffee recently welcomed a new store in downtown Minneapolis near Target Field, at the newly expanded Target Field Station. The Minnesota-based coffeehouse will celebrate with a grand opening on Wednesday, July 9, offering free coffee for a year for the first 50 guests in-store.
“Caribou’s original corporate headquarters was in the North Loop and we’re happy to be back in the neighborhood creating jobs and providing another community space in downtown Minneapolis,” said Megan Fraboni, public relations manager at Caribou Coffee. “We’re excited to focus on growth in Minnesota and continue to serve the community by providing a welcoming coffeehouse environment with an array of quality beverage and food options.”

Caribou’s newest location will occupy nearly 2,400 square feet in Target Field Station, just outside of Target Field. The new store features ample patio seating, a community room with AV capabilities for business meetings, and a welcoming interior with a double-sided fireplace and cozy seating. The grand opening celebration on July 9 begins at 6 a.m. and will include:
- Free coffee for a year for the first 50 guests in-store
- Ribbon cutting ceremony
- Giveaways distributed throughout the day such as Twins tickets, Caribou merchandise, Minnesota Gopher tickets, Nice Ride passes and more
- Happy hour on the patio with food and beverage samples
The new location is open Monday through Thursday, 5:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.; Friday 5:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.; Saturday 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Sunday 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. It is located on street level with access to Target Station at 501 5th Street North, Minneapolis. Short term parking is available in front of the store for guest convenience.
