InfoComm 2014

LAS VEGAS--()--InfoComm 2014 - Jupiter Systems, the leading worldwide supplier of collaborative visualization solutions for video walls, PCs, and mobile devices, today announced the selection of Dennis Episkopos as Vice President, Engineering - Enterprise Software to lead the development of Jupiter’s next generation of communications and collaboration solutions.

“The control room paradigm has evolved,” said Eric Wogsberg, President Jupiter Systems. “It was once thought sufficient to present all of the visual information required for operational management on a single video wall. However, a mobile workforce and distributed operations require that managers have access to that information no matter where they are and no matter what device they have available. This is especially important for the global enterprise, traffic management, physical security, utilities, telecom, public safety, and government agencies who rely on real time information to manage their missions.”

“To deliver this solution requires rapid innovation and deep integrations with third party UCC platforms. We are delighted to have Dennis Episkopos, to lead Jupiter’s new enterprise software development team. We will be adding others to support and expand this critical effort.”

Dennis Episkopos brings over 25 years of experience as a Development, Product and Technical Strategy Manager in the areas of Enterprise Telecommunications, Unified Communications, Voice/Video Collaboration, Cloud Computing, Network Management Systems, and Cellular and Satellite Networks. Prior to joining Jupiter Systems, he was the VP of Engineering of Enterprise Communications at Huawei, where he built the strategy and architecture of Huawei's next generation innovative Cloud Enterprise Communications Systems.

Before that Episkopos was at Avaya where he was responsible for its Unified Communications products such as Communications Manager, CTI Server, Audio/Video Conferencing, Avaya Aura System Manager, Presence Services, CEBP and delivered Avaya’s Virtualization Platform.

Episkopos has also held many leadership and technical roles within AT&T, Lucent, Intracom, CAP Gemini and Motorola where he served as Chief Engineer for the Iridium Satellite and Cellular System. In addition, he has been a contributor to strategic and product planning, client relationships and has partnered with IBM, HP, Deutsche Telecom, and Ericsson.

Episkopos has a Masters Degree in Computer Science from New York University and holds several US technology patents.
