Capella University Graduate Dr. Ann Bieber Named President of Lehigh Carbon Community College

MINNEAPOLIS--()--Dr. Ann Bieber, a doctoral graduate of Capella University (http://www.capella.edu), has been named president of Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) in Schnecksville, Pennsylvania.

Bieber, a longtime Lehigh Valley-native, has served in various roles at Lehigh Carbon Community College since 1981, including most recently as interim president. In her new role, Bieber will be responsible for the academic direction of the college, appropriation of resources for the college’s $35 million budget, and creating valuable academic environments for students and staff on the college’s main campus and off-campus sites.

“My educational experience with Capella University was instrumental in further enhancing my leadership abilities,” Bieber said. “Interacting with my cohort learning group throughout our course work, discussions with faculty members in the courses, and working closely in action research with my outstanding dissertation mentor made my learning experience one that I will always treasure. I believe receiving my doctorate degree from Capella University played a role in providing me the opportunity to advance to the presidency.”
