Personal Launches World’s Largest Form Library at Fillit.com To Make Every Mobile and Web Form One-Click Fillable

Powered by Personal’s Data Vault and Fill It Apps, Fillit.com Will Redefine How Customers Provide Data To Businesses, Governments and Organizations

WASHINGTON--()--Personal (www.personal.com), a web and mobile data vault that helps individuals manage and reuse their most important information, launched Fillit.com today to enable and promote automated, secure form-filling for every form in the world.

Fillit.com has an initial library of nearly 140,000 indexed online forms that can be auto-filled directly on a website, populating it with each user’s own saved data. With minimal integration by mobile sites and apps, all of the forms can also be auto-filled with the new Fill It app for mobile, removing one of the biggest inhibitors of mobile commerce and transactions. The library also contains 100 Smart Forms that can be substituted for over 1 million different paper forms and delivered as a PDF, in print or by a secure link in email.

Built on Personal’s data vault, the Fill It web extension and mobile app go beyond browsers, password managers and digital wallets to support over 1,200 different types of reusable data. In addition to logins and checkouts, users can now easily liberate their own locked-up data to complete many longer forms such as patient registrations, job applications, event registrations, school admissions, insurance and bank applications, and government forms.

“Fillit.com marks the next major milestone for Personal, advancing our mission to empower individuals with the data they need to power their lives,” said Shane Green, co-founder and CEO of Personal. “After experiencing the magic of seeing long forms completed in seconds, our users asked why they should ever have to waste time finding or re-entering information on forms. Fillit.com will help them understand how they can finally start taking control of their data and will help companies and organizations build forms with the needs of their users in mind.”

A February 2013 World Economic Forum report on personal data estimated that using personal data vaults in conjunction with auto form-filling could save people 10 billion hours, drive new economic benefits, and improve delivery of public and private sector services for both individuals and organizations. Together with other digital document management tools, this next generation auto-fill makes any remaining need for paper forms obsolete.

Every form on Fillit.com has been rated from one to four stars to reflect how well it is designed to allow an individual to auto-fill. Paper and PDF forms, which are estimated to make up over 80 percent of all forms, receive a zero star rating. Companies and app developers can improve their ratings by following a few simple best practices, which will generate higher conversion rates and more accurate, complete form submissions. To date, over 1,500 forms are added daily, and users and companies can submit forms to be indexed by tweeting links to @personal_fillit with #addthisform.

“It is hard to overstate the tangled mess of forms online today, not to mention paper and PDF forms that could easily be converted to online and mobile,” said Jennifer O’Keefe, Personal co-founder and SVP of platform, form operations & data. “Most forms aren’t built to take advantage of auto-fill technology and data science. A developer can now do both in minutes on Fillit.com.”

The Fill It web extension -- which works in Chrome, Firefox, Safari and IE -- enables users to automatically save their data, passwords and payment info when completing forms so they don’t ever have to create that information again. The data saves to a user’s vault and can be used for future forms that require the same information. Mobile form completion leverages Personal’s APIs to deliver and update data.

Personal has also built 100 Smart Forms based on robust data analysis of the most popular forms used in various industries, including finance, insurance, health, travel and education. Smart Forms can replace print forms when a business or organization lacks online submission capabilities and requires them in print, and they can also be embedded on a site, linked to in an email, or shared through social media to replace existing forms.

“Personal has been at the forefront of providing solutions to individuals to better protect their privacy, security and data online since launching our data vault,” said Josh Galper, chief policy officer and general counsel at Personal. “With Fillit.com, we have fully aligned for the first time the needs and interests of companies and individuals around a central, common challenge, and it’s a true win-win: People don’t want to spend time filling out forms, and companies are eager to make forms easier for their actual and prospective customers, especially on mobile.”

Personal is available by individual subscription at $2.99 per month or $29.99 per year. Individuals can also get Personal through partners. For more information, please visit www.fillit.com.
