WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Keynote speakers at this year’s GovSec – the Government Security Conference and Expo, which also features TREXPO, the Law Enforcement Expo – will give attendees insights into the latest intelligence on national security issues, what it takes to catch high-profile terrorists and political security in the Middle East.
Highlighted on this year’s agenda will be Thomas Donilon, former National Security Advisor and Avi Dichter, a former director of the Israel Security Agency. Also featured will be a panel of local, state and federal officials who were actively involved in last year’s response to the Boston Marathon bombing, including identifying the suspects and capturing Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. Marathon Bombing: A Collaborative Approach to Catch a Terrorist

Colonel Timothy P. Alben, superintendent of the Massachusetts State Police; Edward F. Davis, former commissioner of the City of Boston Police Department; and Richard DesLauriers, former special agent in charge at the Boston Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation; will participate in a panel discussion about how their organizations worked together and with many other federal, state and local agencies in the Boston Marathon bombing investigation. Moderated by Boston Globe editor Brian McGrory, panelists will discuss the importance of information sharing and collaboration among policing and intelligence community partners to successfully combat terrorism.
