Stuart Varney Re-Signs Multi-Year Contract with FOX Business Network

NEW YORK--()--FOX Business Network (FBN) has re-signed Stuart Varney to a multi-year deal where he will continue as anchor of Varney & Co., announced Roger Ailes, Chairman & CEO, FOX News.

In making the announcement, Ailes said, “Stuart’s astute business sense and respect within the financial community make him a premier anchor and an essential part of our team. We look forward to his continued success with FOX Business.”

Kevin Magee, Executive Vice President of FBN, added, “Stuart is an exceptional talent who has played an integral role at FOX Business throughout his tenure here.”

Since January 2010, Varney has anchored FBN’s Varney & Co. He has been with the network since its 2007 launch and also serves as a substitute host for FOX News Channel’s (FNC) Your World with Neil Cavuto. Since joining FNC’s business team in 2004 from CNBC, Varney has contributed to the network’s weekday and weekend business programming, including Your World, Bulls & Bears, Cavuto on Business and Cashin’ In.

Prior to FNC, he was host of CNBC’s Wall Street Journal Editorial Board with Stuart Varney and, before that, co-anchored CNN’s Moneyline News Hour. Varney helped launch CNN’s business news team in 1980 and hosted many of their financial programs including, Your Money, Business Day and Business Asia. His reporting and analysis of the stock market crash of 1987 earned CNN a Peabody Award for excellence in journalism.
