2014 International CES

LAS VEGAS--()--CES Booth: Central Hall #13613

Polaroid Fotobar returns to CES in 2014 with a host of new initiatives to announce in the new year. After being met with much excitement at last year’s show, Polaroid Fotobar proceeded to open three stores in Florida in 2013 – Delray Beach, Orlando and Miami. The coming year promises to be a busy one, with several more stores in development including its flagship location in Las Vegas, The Polaroid Museum and the debut of the Mobile Print Shop.

The first set of stores in 2014 will include another east coast Florida location, this one in Boca Raton. The store will complement its existing Florida locations as the company builds a strong presence in its home state and beyond. In March, the Polaroid Fotobar flagship store - an 8,500-square-foot location will open at The LINQ in Las Vegas and include The Polaroid Museum. The flagship will join 32 trend-setting tenants and the world’s largest observation wheel, the High Roller, at The LINQ, a pedestrian-friendly street that will redefine the Las Vegas visitor experience at the center of The Strip.

The fun, interactive and educational museum will be suitable for all ages and will convey the rich history of the Polaroid brand. The museum will also showcase how its founder, Edwin Land, impacted not just the modern imaging industry, but set the course for the future of instant and collaborative sharing, which ultimately led to today’s world of social media. With an extensive collection of rare artifacts, art and advertising courtesy of the Polaroid Historical Collection at MIT, the museum will trace Polaroid from the early years through current day. The museum’s main attraction will be the Andy Warhol “Capturing Celebrity” exhibition which will feature a collection of 50 of Warhol’s most famous Polaroid photographs, as well as two of Warhol’s personal Polaroid cameras. The 4,500-square-foot museum will also serve as a vibrant event space that can be used for corporate and private functions of up to 300 people.

Polaroid Fotobar is giving the public a chance to play a role in the museum through its Indiegogo crowd funding campaign--igg.me/at/polaroid. “Polaroid has a long and rich history of putting cameras in the hands of the people, allowing them to instantly capture and share memories and experiences,” said Warren Struhl, Founder and CEO of the new museum. “Crowd sourcing our campaign to open this museum, and helping us find our founders through Indiegogo, seemed like the most authentic connection to the people and the social experiences that the Polaroid brand is known for.”

Contributors will gain access to a host of benefits as founders to the museum including: Founding Member, VIP Partner, The Ultimate Selfie, premier museum tickets, a limited-edition 24x30 Polaroid Picture, and other exclusive perks.

Polaroid Fotobar will also unveil its Mobile Print Shop during CES, a mobile unit capable of traveling the country to provide on-site printing solutions at events of all kinds. Visitors to the booth will be able to try the Polaroid OneStep service which allows for instant on-site printing. Learn more at www.polaroidfotobar.com/MPS
