NEW YORK--()--Bloomingdale’s newest store in Glendale, CA, will open on Nov. 8, 2013. This location will anchor the Glendale Galleria as part of a comprehensive redevelopment of the shopping center, and marks the 37th Bloomingdale’s store in the United States.

The two-level, 115,000 square-foot store will include 48 designer shops and offer an assortment of fashionable essentials for women, men, and children. The overall shopping experience will be enhanced by such services as complementary Style Advisors able to personally assist shoppers, along with a Studio Services team available to work with members of the film and television industries.

To celebrate the opening of #glendaleBLOOMS, the retailer is planning over 500 #fashionpacked events to take place during the opening months.

“Glendale is one of the most important openings to date, and we are invigorated by the unique shopping experience that was created especially for this community,” said Michael Gould, chairman and CEO of Bloomingdale’s. “This will be the eighth location for our brand in Southern California, and it’s an exciting opportunity to further serve our loyal clientele as well as attract new shoppers.”

Playing on the strong entertainment ties within the community, the renovation of the space was designed with a bit of glamour and jazz, all while incorporating the contemporary Bloomingdale’s style that makes it like no other store in the world.

“We were able to design a space that echoes the local Hollywood glamour, but with a unique and modern approach, utilizing luxe materials, dramatic aesthetics, and many decorative elements that haven’t been used before,” said Jack Hruska, executive vice president of creative services at Bloomingdale’s.

Even before stepping inside, Bloomingdale’s establishes its presence with an architecturally pleasing structure of modern granite that serves as a contrast against the California skies. The luminous tiles covering the building create a dramatic effect, and pays tribute to Bloomingdale’s classic black and white décor with a modern spin.

Upon entering the store, customers step foot on black and white tile that is so iconic to Bloomingdale’s. Designer boutiques from Louis Vuitton and Gucci, amongst others, flank the entrance.

An elegant fragrance room with dramatic draperies house scents from around the globe. Perfumes, colognes, and mists are displayed upon beveled mirrors with white accents.

A red carpet-worthy presentation of fine jewelry is anchored by a custom designed LED light and video sculpture that is the focal point of the department. At more than 40-feet tall, the towering sculpture extends through the second floor.

Fashion accessories ranging from handbags to small leather goods, fashion jewelry, and sunglasses are offered within flashbulb-worthy presentations.

The first floor of the store will feature a dedicated area for men. As the black and white checkered tiles begin to fade into white concrete, a masculine environment featuring a variety of metals, woods, and a unique trapeze hanging system suspended from the ceiling awaits. Here he will find branded shops that reflect each designer’s own unique style and fashions.
