SANTA FE SPRINGS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Applied BioCode today announced it has appointed Michael Aye, Ph.D. as its Vice President of Molecular Products. Dr. Aye will build and lead the assay development program for Applied BioCode and act as scientific liaison between Applied BioCode and the scientific community in the field of multiplexed molecular diagnostics.

Dr. Michael Aye has over 8 years of research and development experience at Focus Diagnostics, Inc. and Beckman Coulter, Inc. Prior to his industrial experience Dr. Aye has spent 10 years in academia focused on research in molecular genetics and microbiology. He is experienced in simultaneously leading multiple projects for developing and commercializing new products, specifically high-complexity assays by integrating instrument, software and chemistry. Dr. Aye has led multiple 510(k), CE, EUA product development projects as well as over 40 ASR and GPR products. Dr. Aye obtained a B.S. degree in Microbiology in 1995 from the California State University, Long Beach, and Ph.D. degree in Biology (Molecular Genetics) in 2001 from the University of California, Irvine.
