AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Bigcommerce, the leading e-commerce platform for SMBs, today announced that Asok Boopathy will join its executive team as vice president of product.
Boopathy brings two decades of experience managing, designing and architecting products and systems in companies including PayPal and American Express. Most recently at PayPal, he led the development of global multi-channel, cross-channel, and omni-channel retail strategy.
Boopathy's leadership carried across the design, development and launch of PayPal's global point of sale merchant product suite, which is currently used by Home Depot. He directed the cross-functional work stream to develop the code-base and designed all merchant process, integration points, APIs and end-to-end experiences.
Boopathy welcomed the opportunity at Bigcommerce, relocating from San Jose to help drive the changing nature of how businesses sell their products online.
