Major General Michael D. Jones, USA (ret) Joins The SPECTRUM Group

ALEXANDRIA, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The SPECTRUM Group (TSG) is pleased to announce retired Army Major General Michael D. Jones has joined our firm following a distinguished military career in which his last active Army assignment was Chief of Staff for U.S. Central Command. He held numerous key command and senior staff positions in the U.S. Army and in Joint commands, including; Director of Operations for U.S. Central Command, Commander of the Civilian Police Advisory Assistance Team in Iraq, Deputy Director of Strategic Plans and Policy on The Joint Staff, Assistant Division Commander (Maneuver) of the 1^st Cavalry Division, Director of the Chief of Staff Army’s Staff Group, and Commander of the 16^th Cavalry Regiment. General Jones deployed on two tours to Iraq as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom, and also to Bosnia as part of the Implementation Force of Operation Joint Endeavor.

General Jones’ military career, with its wide range of responsibilities and command positions, brings him a broad knowledge of defense issues and geopolitics, including Army and Joint operations, logistics, cyber defense, C4ISR, training technology, operational energy, BRAC, organizational design, and leadership and management of large and complex organizations. His extensive Middle East experience, service in the Pentagon and Washington inter-agency, two Army Training and Doctrine Command tours, and his battlefield experience provides significant depth to TSG and our clients.
