(www.royalbearing.com), a leading wholesale supplier of industrial bearings with warehouses in Portland, Ore. and in Livonia, Mich., announces that it has acquired the complete bearing inventory from the Blue Heron Paper Co. in Oregon City, Oregon. Royal Bearing has fully integrated the entire storeroom inventory purchase into Royal’s extensive bearing database.
The Blue Heron Mill closed this year after more than a century of operation, leaving more than 2,600 auction items available. The 23-acre Oregon City mill site was first developed as an industrial site in 1829, when British fur trader John McLoughlin, built a sawmill at Willamette Falls. A paper mill has operated on Main Street in Oregon City since 1908.
Acquired during the three-day auction were a broad range of bearings from manufacturers such as Timken, Fafnir, Sealmaster, McGill, NTN and SKF, including many large bore bearings.
