Chase Expands Military Banking Benefits to All U.S. Veterans

Chase Military Banking provides exclusive benefits and waives most fees

NEW YORK--()--Chase announced today the expansion of its Military Banking checking program to include all U.S. military veterans, the bank’s latest initiative to support military personnel with special benefits.

The premium checking account benefits typically reserved for high-balance customers and made available to active duty Armed Forces servicemembers and members of the Guard and Reserve July 1 are now available to everyone who has served in the U.S. military.

All current U.S. military servicemembers and veterans are eligible for the following benefits on Chase Premier Plus CheckingSM:

  • No Monthly Service Fee
  • Free Chase Design Checks
  • Free Safe Deposit Box
  • No fee on Money Orders, Official Checks, Travelers Checks and Gift Cards
  • No Chase fee on 4 non-Chase ATM withdrawals per month
  • No Monthly Service Fee on 2 additional Chase Premier Plus Checking accounts
  • No Monthly Service Fee on Chase Plus SavingsSM
  • Free Chase Mobile® Banking
  • Free Online Banking with Bill Pay

Active duty military members and members of the Guard and Reserve with direct deposit of military base pay receive the following enhanced benefits:

  • No Chase fee on ALL non-Chase ATM transactions
  • No Chase fee on incoming or outgoing wires
  • No 3 percent Foreign Exchange fees on overseas debit or ATM transactions

In addition, active duty servicemembers, members of the Guard and Reserve, and veterans who own a small business can take advantage of special Business Banking offers. The special military benefits include:

  • No Monthly Service Fee on a Chase BusinessSelect CheckingSM account
  • Up to $1000 in fee savings on SBA loan programs
  • Discounts on conventional loan origination fees or Annual Fee waiver on lines of credit.

Chase offers a Military Mortgage program that provides military servicemembers and veterans mortgage benefits, including:

  • $495 savings in closing costs
  • Veterans Administration (VA) loans which may offer no down payment and no monthly private mortgage insurance (PMI)
  • Servicing benefits that go beyond SCRA protection including extended eligibility and lower interest rates

Chase Card Services recently announced new enhancements to its portfolio of credit cards exclusively available to the distinguished men and women who serve our country. Cardmembers now receive unlimited cash back for all purchases and will not be charged foreign transaction fees.

The new enhancements, designed to benefit service members and their families at home and abroad, are available on Chase’s Military Star Rewards MasterCard; Military MasterCard; Air Force Club MasterCard; Army Morale, Welfare, Recreation (MWR) MasterCard; Navy MWR MasterCard; and Marine Corps Community Service MasterCard.

The military cards already offer:

  • 2% Cash Back rewards at Army MWR, Air Force Services and MCCS Merchant locations, including Exchanges and Commissaries and 1% everywhere else
  • No annual fee
  • Dedicated Military Customer Service 24 hours a day, seven days a week

Cardmembers also continue to receive the benefits of the Blue Star Deployment Program, which provides a full refund on any interest and fees incurred during deployment. Loved ones are still able to use their cards while a cardmember is deployed – a benefit that only Chase provides.
