HealthTech Holdings Inc. Names Industry Veterans to New CTO, CIO Posts

NASHVILLE, Tenn.--()--HealthTech Holdings Inc. (HHI), a health information technology holding company that owns Healthcare Management Systems Inc.® (HMS), MEDHOST and Sentry Healthcare Services, has appointed two technology veterans to the newly created chief technology officer (CTO) and chief information officer (CIO) positions. CTO Alan MacLamroc and CIO Geoff Roten will leverage HHI’s significant financial strength and industry expertise to further enhance the clinical and financial applications and IT services that HHI companies provide to healthcare facilities seeking to provide the best patient care possible, achieve meaningful use and operate more efficiently.

“With such rapid change occurring within the healthcare industry, it’s exciting to add these accomplished executives to the HHI team,” said Bill Anderson, chairman, president and CEO of HealthTech Holdings Inc. “With a combined 45 years of technology and healthcare experience, Alan and Geoff are well positioned to manage HHI’s technology resources so that all aspects of our business will continue to grow.”

CTO Alan MacLamroc will lead initiatives to develop and deploy new products while ensuring the most efficient use of HHI’s outstanding technical resources across its portfolio of companies. MacLamroc has deep experience with HMS’ key technology platforms and is an expert in Agile product development processes and cloud-based products and deployments.

“Consistent development of IT products and services is one of the healthcare industry’s most vital priorities, especially given the importance of helping providers achieve meaningful use and its associated stimulus funds,” said MacLamroc. “I look forward to helping each of our companies further expand on the unique and powerful applications and services they’re already delivering to healthcare providers across the country.”

CIO Geoff Roten will oversee the further development and growth of HealthTech’s Hosting and Managed Services group.
