NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Odeon Capital Group LLC (“Odeon”), the New York-based independent fixed income broker-dealer with investment banking and research services, today announced that Bret Ackerman will join the firm as a Director and Senior Vice President in their Sales and Trading Group. Mr. Ackerman will head the firm’s RMBS trading desk, which utilizes the firm’s trademark independent research to provide clients a full service offering for trading in high-yield securities, in New York.

Ackerman, a 10 year veteran of the industry, joins Odeon from StormHarbour Securities LP, where he was the Head of RMBS trading, having joined the firm as a Director in Structured Product and Sales. Prior to StormHarbour, Bret was a Senior Vice President in Structured Product Sales at MF Global. Previously, Bret had worked at Barclays where he was the Head of Non-Agency Securitization and involved in primary and secondary trading. Bret began his career at Bear Stearns where he was a Vice President on the non-agency trading desk. Bret earned a BA in Finance from State University of New York at Binghamton.
