ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Metadigm Services, a provider of Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI)-related services to electric utilities in the Southeastern U.S., acquired Power Engineering Associates, Inc. (Power Engineering), a Cleveland, Tenn.-based utility consulting firm.
Power Engineering provides specialized assistance to cooperatives and municipal distribution systems in the areas of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, distribution system design and operation, Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) and GIS systems, inventory mapping, substation design, transmission and distribution line design, and communications systems design.
Power Engineering is the latest acquisition by Metadigm Services in support of its initiative to build an industry-leading provider of value-added field and data management services to electric, water and gas utilities. Such services include outsourced meter reading, full-service AMI meter implementations, SCADA and communications systems installation and maintenance, and data management solutions that enable improved asset management capabilities.
