Kelby also earned accolades from Professional Photographer magazine, which awarded The Adobe Photoshop CS5 Book for Digital Photographers the highly coveted 2011 Hot One Award. The magazine cited the book as a “true insider’s guide to the tricks of the trade.” Judged by 52 professional photographers, the award is given for how effectively products help photographers’ art, their workflow, and their business.

"In 2006, Scott wrote the first volume of what has become a category leader, the wildly successful The Digital Photography Book," said Nancy Aldrich-Ruenzel, vice president of Pearson Technology Group and publisher of the Peachpit Creative Pro group. “His leadership in the photography space has continued to grow, and he’s helped millions of shooters all over the world improve their skills and grow their businesses.
