AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Gazzang, Inc., the cloud infrastructure software company, today announced expansion of the company’s leadership team, naming Mike Frank as director of products. In this new role, Frank will be responsible for Gazzang’s product development strategy, including pricing, packaging and competitive positioning of the company’s growing portfolio of solutions.
An open source industry veteran, Frank’s experience spans databases, systems and security management, operating systems, and middleware, including more than 15 commercial products he has helped develop and bring to market.
Most recently Frank was senior product manager at Oracle focused on MySQL in the areas of development (Workbench and Connectors), backup, platforms, virtualization, and authentication. Prior to Oracle, he was responsible for product direction and delivery at Idera, a provider of tools for Microsoft SQL Server, SharePoint and PowerShell management and administration. Frank has also held positions in product management and software development management at PentaSafe Security Technologies, Inc. and NetIQ Corporation, with additional development and consulting experience in the fields of IT security, database management, e-business and trading systems.
