PORTLAND, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CompanionLink® Software, Inc., a leading provider of mobile sync solutions for Google Android™ devices, releases two-way synchronization between PC and Motorola® DROID™ X. CompanionLink will synchronize contacts, calendar, tasks and notes between DROID X and PC software such as Microsoft® Outlook®, Outlook Business Contact Manager, IBM® Lotus Notes, Novell® GroupWise, Palm® Desktop, and ACT! by Sage. CompanionLink offers two ways to sync with DROID X – direct USB sync and wireless sync using Google.
Direct USB sync with DROID X works in tandem with an Android app called DejaOffice™, which provides contact-manager-like address book, calendar, tasks and notes apps. Data transfers two-ways between PC and DejaOffice using the USB cable that comes with DROID X.
Wireless sync through Google relies on the built-in integration the DROID X has with Google Contacts and Google Calendar. CompanionLink synchronizes PC contacts, calendar and tasks to Google, which then synchronizes over-the-air to the DROID X. Changes made on DROID X will sync back to Google, and then to the PC using CompanionLink.
“While the DROID X is a powerful phone, it lacks an easy way to sync data to the PC for people not running Microsoft Exchange,” says Rushang Shah, Director of Marketing for CompanionLink Software, Inc. “With CompanionLink, the DROID X becomes an extension of their PC, allowing professionals to carry their data in the palm of their hand.”
CompanionLink’s sync solutions for Android are available for a one-time cost starting at $39.95. More information, including a 14-day free evaluation of the software,is available at www.companionlink.com/droidx.
