COLUMBIA, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AirPatrol Corporation, a leader in wireless threat management solutions, today announced that Dennis Pollutro joined the company as vice president of federal solutions. With more than fifteen years of senior sales/executive experience, Pollutro will be responsible for managing and growing federal sales and solutions for AirPatrol’s U.S. government agency customers as well as managing relationships with government resellers, distributors and systems integrators.
Most recently, Pollutro led the Federal solutions and sales capture for Applied Identity a leader in network access control. Leveraging his background in network security, Pollutro developed several solutions with partners of all types within government and will continue to uncover solutions to strengthen the security industry.
Pollutro has had direct relationships with executives within leading network security companies, government agencies, and system integrators. For many years he has been delivering year-on-year growth performances that far exceeded revenue expectations.
Previously, Pollutro played an important role in negotiating the acquisition of two companies with responsibility for more than $35 million in fundraising. He also led revenue generation for four consecutive years at Applied Identity, developing, managing and leveraging a team of senior executives within the U.S. government to build a bi-directional corporate-to-government business development strategy. He has been awarded patents by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, for the first ‘identity based, network-level,’ access control solution.
“Dennis brings a proven and tested sales approach to AirPatrol and his track record of success is valuable to AirPatrol as we rapidly expand the company within the federal space in 2010,” said Ozzie Diaz, CEO, AirPatrol Corporation. “The government industry is extremely important for AirPatrol as more and more IT decision makers see the value in our robust and cost-effective solutions that lock down not only government networks but networks within blue chip companies.”
“With more and more people using wireless handheld devices and the criminals increasing the amount of attacks on corporate and government networks this is an ideal time to join AirPatrol as their products have been proven to work time and time again at many of the largest companies in the world,” said Pollutro. “From my vantage point, AirPatrol is in a unique position to increase its market presence because it is the only company that enables IT administrators to securely manage 802.11 WLAN and cellular devices. Today, everyone carries one and maybe two wireless devices, making tomorrow’s security challenges far greater than they were last week or last month.”
