Encore Facility Management Contracted as Management Company for $41.5 Million Multi-Purpose Events Center in Dodge City, Kansas

TEMPE, Ariz.--()--Global Entertainment Corporation (OTCBB: GNTP) announced today that one of its seven subsidiaries, Encore Facility Management (Encore), has been awarded the management contract for the Dodge City/Ford County Events Center which just recently held its groundbreaking ceremonies on October 27, 2009. The $41.5 million, 4,220 fixed-seat multi-purpose events center with attached 10,000 square foot convention center is being constructed in the nation’s heartland for Ford County and the City of Dodge City, Kansas with an anticipated opening of February 2011.

Encore and its related companies, Global Entertainment Management Systems (GEMS), Global Entertainment Ticketing (GetTix.Net) and Global Food Services (GFS), present a turnkey management service that provides a full complement of operational services for multi-purpose events centers. Encore will provide pre-opening and ongoing management, operations; sales and marketing (GEMS); event booking, ticketing (GetTix.Net) and food and beverage services (GFS) for the Dodge City/Ford County Events Center. As part of the contract, Encore will also assume responsibility and provide these services for the existing Dodge City Civic Center.

The Dodge City/Ford County Events Center with its state-of-the-art design will be located in a new development west of town and strategically located adjacent to the Boot Hill Casino & Resort. The decade-long concept for the project will include an estimated 13 luxury suites and VIP seating along with lounges, an events garden and meeting rooms. The seating capacity for concerts will accommodate 6,060 and the conference center can provide for 1,000 people in a lecture room configuration. The facility will also host trade shows, rodeos and other ice events.

Other Global subsidiaries providing services include:

  • International Coliseums Company (ICC) is currently serving as project consultant for the design and construction of the facility.
  • Global Properties I provides feasibility, project planning and development services for the project.
