Raucous Wet T-shirt and Thong Contests are being featured between the bands' sets to complement the Wild Party atmosphere. The Girls Gone Wild Rocks America bus will also be rolling up to each venue bringing joy, (along with dvd's, hats, t-shirts, and other giveaways) and a film crew to capture this unique concert experience for rock fans everywhere. "We're looking forward to combining these amazing bands with the wild party atmosphere Girls Gone Wild brings to each venue it visits" says Joe Francis, Girl Gone Wild's Founder and CEO. "The Girls Gone Wild Rocks America Tour will give new meaning to having 'backstage groupies'- the boys from Hinder, Revelation Theory and Faktion better rest up!"
MEET THE BANDS:
HINDER - "When people come to a show we want to make sure that everyone gets hammered and laid", says Hinder drummer Cody. Last year YRB alerted music fans that the Universal Records rock band was definitely on their "radar". Now it appears that this five-piece band hailing from Oklahoma is ready to explode in more areas than one. Hinder's debut album, Extreme Behavior, has scanned more than 62,000 records since it hit shelves. Driving sales is their first smash single "Get Stoned" which demonstrates that their lives are no longer a fairy tale but a sex filled, liquored up, rock and roll reality. Online, through My Space and message boards, Hinder continues to amass legions of faithful fans who call themselves the Hinder Army. The Hinder Army operates with a ball of energy and is focused on one thing and one thing only--spreading the word about their favorite band. This month, Hinder is currently part of Yahoo! Music's popular Who's Next user's choice feature, where music fans can watch the "Get Stoned" live video and cast their vote for their favorite band.
REVELATION THEORY - Very rarely does a new band on a new label impact the music industry the way that Revelation Theory has, whose successful artist development story of 2005 is creating a significant buzz entering 2006. With more than 150 shows in 2005, their debut single "Slowburn" is currently sitting at #29 at Active Rock radio and impatiently climbing the charts, and is paired with the accompanying video getting spins on MTV2's Headbanger's Ball. Revelation Theory is rapidly growing an aggressive fanbase as well as industry curiosity. The band currently has more than 26,000 registered friends on their MySpace page as well as over 1,000 active Rev Theory Rebels, their home-grown street team. Revelation Theory is also turning some of their much respected peers into friends and fans, such as Seether (who invited them to play some dates with them on their headlining Sno-Core tour) and Sevendust (who invited them to play a few 05' dates, including their sold out New Years Eve bash at the House of Blues in Orlando). "It's very satisfying to see that some of the bands you look up to want to play with you and respond in a positive way," says singer Rich Luzzi. "That, along with the fans that show you their commitment to the music you create and perform is what we feed off most and makes us proud to do what we do." There is a lot of excitement about the band's debut release, Truth Is Currency, which was produced by Grammy winning producer Paul Ebersold (3 Doors Down, Saliva) and is currently in stores nationwide. Band members, Rich, Julien, Dave and Matty have created an album that packs enough power and energy to fuel a fleet of semis. Truth Is Currency is a full on rock record, jam-packed with guitar driven melodies and power chords, epic vocals, a tight rhythm section that hits you in the gut, and passion that is poised on the edge of something huge.
FAKTION - Faktion "means 'family' to us, acceptance," guitarist Josh Franklin notes of the band's name. It also speaks for their fans, which he describes as a wide-ranging group with many factions within "Our audiences cover men and women as well as a wide range of age groups. Nobody is excluded," guitarist/vocalist Marshall Dutton adds. This young band's inclusive nature results in an amazing synergy (on and offline) with listeners, who very often become loyal fans. Their site, faktionband.com is a popular destination, as is their page on the hugely influential community portal, myspace.com. Their over-34,000 myspace 'friends' and nearly 304,000 plays of their songs on their page exceeds the numbers for many sonically similar acts that have already achieved Platinum sales, and Faktion are just getting started! Musically speaking, it almost seems a contradiction that a band capable of generating the sweeping modern rock of the song "Letting You Go" could also summon the visceral groove of "Take It All Away," but that channeling of both the tough and the tender might not be as difficult to comprehend if you spend time out on the West Texas plains, where most of the band grew up. Those wide-open spaces tend to create an awareness of life's extremes - a journey that can either make a person close up tightly or, as Faktion has, become as grand and glorious as the space itself.
