LOS ANGELES--()--After attracting attention earlier this year with the signing of a 13,000 square-foot lease in midtown Manhattan, Raines Feldman announced today that Simon Miller, a leading commercial litigator and former managing partner of Eisner LLP’s New York office, has joined Raines Feldman as the managing partner of its newly launched New York office.

For Los Angeles-based Raines Feldman, the addition of Miller extends its track record of attracting elite lawyers from top national firms and signals the seriousness of its ambitions in New York. One of the nation’s preeminent advisors on the formation and breakup of professional services firms, Miller previously practiced at global law firms including Blank Rome and Greenberg Traurig.

“We are very fortunate to have Simon leading our growth in New York and further enhancing our firm’s national presence,” said Jonathan Littrell, Raines Feldman’s managing partner. “He’s well known as a successful trial lawyer capable of handling the most sophisticated disputes. Maybe more importantly, Simon’s skills as a certified professional coach align perfectly with our cultural focus on promoting the self-actualization and optimization of all of our team members.”

“Raines Feldman has a culture and business approach that is uniquely positioned to capitalize on the evolving nature of the legal profession,” said Miller. “I am excited to join a firm that marries a sharp focus on quality with genuine attention to the professional and individual development of each attorney. This team orientation enables Raines Feldman to punch above its weight achieving incredible results for and delivering high-level service to its clients. It’s a playbook used by many of the world’s most successful businesses, further aligning the firm with its clients and the latest trends in the legal community. I’m thrilled to foster this vision of law firm 2.0 in the New York market.”

With a national reputation as a “business divorce” lawyer, Simon has represented law firms, accounting firms, family-owned businesses, investment advisory firms, hedge funds and other business partnerships in connection with their formation, dissolution, and the withdrawal of members. He also has experience representing both companies and employees in employment and trade secret disputes as well as a variety of clients in the entertainment industry.

He will oversee Raines Feldman’s new office at 1350 Avenue of the Americas, where the firm has leased the entire 22nd floor. The firm expects the build out of the space to be finalized in the coming weeks.

With offices in Los Angeles, Orange County, and New York, Raines Feldman has been strategically expanding its roster of lawyers across its practices nationwide. Earlier this year, the firm launched a Media and Entertainment practice by welcoming Rami Yanni and Bill Hochberg from Rosenfeld, Meyer & Sussman in Los Angeles. Other recent additions include former Reed Smith corporate partner Mitchell Cohen in Los Angeles, and former Troutman Pepper corporate partner Derek Dundas in Orange County.
